There are several options and prices for the equipment needed, this information is intended for basic guidance only.

It should have a distribution box with a transparent window housing a 10amp double pole MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) and 25amp RCD (Residual Current Device). This should be in a plastic case and protected to a minimum of IP44. This is connected to a cable with a BS EN 60309-2 plug (Commando Type) at the opposite end. Complete units are available at most reputable camping outlets and have either single or triple socket outlets. Do not attempt to make your own unless you are suitably qualified to do so and fully understand the technical implications. You should also purchase appliances designed for camping use as it is not advisable to use normal household appliances.
